A very warm welcome to our new visitors Carol M nd Sue G! We hope you enjoyed meeting everyone and we look forward to seeing you again.
We had interesting and hilarious discussions involving members experience with Latissimus Dorsi Flap Reconstruction (please contact us if you would like to share your experience), ARIMIDEX® (anastrozole) causing joint pains and loss of bone density, Amitriptyline (10mg sent one of us to La La land for a couple of days), wonky nipples and how we should all exercise more.
A few ladies mentioned how interesting the free Vita magazine from Breast Cancer Care is. More information is available at https://www.breastcancercare.org.uk/information-support/vita-magazine. There is an option to subscribe to the quaterly magazine and also to download past issues.
Linda shared her tumeric porridge recipe which is available at Winchester & Eastleigh Cancer Support Recipes
Linda will liase with Mary about managing and following up with new visitors.
We also plan to have a web page with tips for anyone who is newly diagnosed.
Most members were keen to walk more with maybe a tea stop or two. We hope to organise a few local walks and visits to nearby NGS gardens.
