Our first meeting of 2023 and we welcomed 15 members for a chill and chat evening.

It was lovely to catch up with everyone’s news and to chat about Christmas and the New Year. We also had biscuits and chocolates brought along by some of the group members.

One of our Support Group Leads is meeting with the Lead Breast Care Nurse at Winchester Hospital next week to talk about Lymphoedema and we asked for comments and questions from the group.

Unfortunately, an increasing number of our group members are being affected by this condition for which there is no cure, but it can be self-managed with care and attention. We are seeing it more in the breast now as well as in the arm where the lymph nodes were removed during surgery.

We hope to have a Lymphoedema evening fairly soon where we can focus on this topic and offer advice and information to our  members.
