21st February 2023 Lymphoedema Evening at Chandlers Ford

On 21st February we will be joined by some of the Team from Winchester Hospital for a Lymphoedema evening.

They will be able to give us lots of information about Lymphoedema and to answer your questions, along with demonstrations of Lymphatic massage.  Lymphoedema is affecting quite a few of our group members now, both in the arm and in the breast, so please come along and support this evening. If you’ve had surgery to remove lymph nodes, Lymphoedema can develop in any of us, at any time, so we need to be aware of the signs. You might not have it now, but you can learn to look for the signs and catch it early. We don’t wish to scare anyone – we just want to raise awareness.

Could you let us know if you’re likely to be coming so we know how many chairs to put out.  If you haven’t been to the venue before, the Wessex Cancer Trust Support Centre is located above Domino’s Pizza and you can park behind the building. The entrance is on the side of the building and you can walk up the stairs to find us.
