30th Anniversary and Christmas Party 5th December 2017

We had a very enjoyable 30th Anniversary / Christmas party dinner at the newly decorated Christ Church hall in Winchester. For those who remember the old hall, it is totally unrecognisable now. You can see from the photos just how clean and bright it looks now. A lovely venue for parties and events.
It was a really great evening where we met up with existing friends and made some lovely new ones.
The outside caterers “Tall Hats Catering & Events” were amazing and provided 23 lovely 3 course meals consisting of:

STARTERS
Poached Salmon Mousse topped with Smoked Salmon with mixed Leaf Salad (gf)
Accompanied by freshly baked Breads with Butter

MAINS
Chicken Breast stuffed with Parmesan, Parma Ham & fresh Sage with a Madeira sauce (gf)
Served with little herbed roasted Potatoes, Green Beans and Chantenay Carrots

DESSERT
Apple Tart, served warm
Jugs of Cream

And we followed this with:

Tea and coffee with Mince Pies and After Eight mints

Linda presented cheques to the Breast Care Nurses from Winchester Hospital for the monies raised by our group throughout the year and we had some group photo’s to commemorate the event – these will be uploaded later.  

Jackie Bugg and Sue Arnold provided a very entertaining quiz, with lots of shouting out the answers and lots of chocolates as prizes!  They had also organised a raffle with some lovely prizes – some of which had been very kindly donated to the group.   

Then followed a small presentation to Linda for running the group and for organising such a brilliant party!
