When I saw the email invitation to model from Amoena’s Global Online Marketing Manager, Miranda Evans, I thought,’Why not? I’ve got nothing to lose and lots to gain!’
So armed with a couple of amateur photos (one full length and another a red eye close up!), I sent it off and thought no more of it. I LIE. I thought a lot about it! I remember only ever wearing a bikini once in my lifetime nearly 15 years ago. Would I be able to psyche myself up enough to pose in lingerie if chosen? I must admit that the advantages were huge for me, the main ones being – no cooking, washing or nagging the kids for 3 whole days. Oh what bliss that would be!
I was selected together with another lovely lady Isabel. We felt like we’d won a competition! Amoena took such good care of us throughout the whole experience.
We modelled a selection of leisure wear, active wear and of course lingerie. We had our hair and make up done by the lovely John. There was a team of seven including director, photographers, stylist, make up and hair stylist, digital tech & assistants.
It was a wonderful experience. It’s given me much more confidence about my body, especially after surgery. I think it’s fantastic that Amoena is using women who have had breast cancer as models.
Guess what? I’ve since made another trip to Munich to model lingerie to 120 Amoena employees :O
