15th November 2022 Chill and Chat evening at Chandlers Ford

At our last meeting before Christmas, we enjoyed a lovely relaxed chill and chat evening, catching up with everyone’s plans for Christmas.

We also finalised the plans for our Christmas Meal out on 6th December at Turtle Bay which everyone was looking forward to.

Our group’s treasurer had celebrated her birthday at the weekend so we bought her a cake with candles to blow out. It was a lovely almond and cherry cake which we all shared, along with the biscuits and sweets that had been brought along. Read more

We welcomed 11 members of our group along to our chill and chat evening and it was really good to catch up with everyone properly.

18th October 2022 – Jane from Amoena at Chandlers Ford

We welcomed Jane from Amoena to our meeting and she brought along some sample products for us to look at.

Amoena provide a range of bras for post-surgery aswell as mastectomy and lumpectomy bras for everyday wear. Jane talked about how important it is for us to wear the correct type of bra, but more importantly, a correctly fitting bra. 

She told us that Amoena have recently trained the ladies in the lingerie department at Bradbeers in Romsey to correctly measure and fit post-surgery bra’s and she recommended we pay them a visit if we’d like to be measured properly.

She offered to check our bra fittings for those who were interested and even after only a few minutes each with some of our ladies, they reported a better fit and feel to their existing bra!

Jane was very knowledgeable about breast lymphoedema too and told us that Amoena are soon to be launching a new range of products to help manage lymphoedema and she promised to come back in 2023 with the new range to let us have a look.

We are really grateful to Jane for coming along as she drove down from South Wales to see us.  The 12 ladies who came along were really grateful for Jane’s expertise in making sure that their bras fitted correctly.

4th October 2022 Sarah Sharp Nutritionist at HHFT

Following on from Sarah’s visit to our Chandlers Ford group in June, we welcomed Sarah back to answer the queries from her last visit and to recap on the wealth of information she gave us last time.

We welcomed 12 members and we had a lots of discussion.
