21st February 2023 Lymphoedema Evening at Chandlers Ford

On 21st February we will be joined by some of the Team from Winchester Hospital for a Lymphoedema evening.

They will be able to give us lots of information about Lymphoedema and to answer your questions, along with demonstrations of Lymphatic massage.  Lymphoedema is affecting quite a few of our group members now, both in the arm and in the breast, so please come along and support this evening. If you’ve had surgery to remove lymph nodes, Lymphoedema can develop in any of us, at any time, so we need to be aware of the signs. You might not have it now, but you can learn to look for the signs and catch it early. We don’t wish to scare anyone – we just want to raise awareness.

7th February 2023 Winchester Chill and Chat Evening

We had our first meeting of 2023 at Winchester and we welcomed 5 members along for a lovely informal catchup.

Its often difficult to find out exactly how our members are all doing, so it was lovely to be able to make time to really find out how we all are and share issues and concerns if necessary.

17th January 2023 Chill and Chat Evening at Chandlers Ford

Our first meeting of 2023 and we welcomed 15 members for a chill and chat evening.

It was lovely to catch up with everyone’s news and to chat about Christmas and the New Year. We also had biscuits and chocolates brought along by some of the group members.

One of our Support Group Leads is meeting with the Lead Breast Care Nurse at Winchester Hospital next week to talk about Lymphoedema and we asked for comments and questions from the group.
