20th September 2022 – Breast Care nurse from Winchester Hospital

We were really fortunate to be joined by Claire B who had come straight from her shift at Winchester hospital to answer some of our generic questions. We had 9 ladies along tonight and we’d also asked our members in advance if they had any questions.

Some of the areas we covered included:  the benefits of Tamoxifen versus A.I.’s (Aromatase Inhibitors such as Letrozole, Anastrozole, Exemestane);  what happens at the end of our 10 years of hormone treatment, breast lymphoedema, Moving Forward Courses once treatment is over and the long-term side effects of chemotherapy to our nails and toenails.

Most of us seem to have ongoing issues with nail health so it would be good to get someone along to a future group meeting to talk about nails and toenails health. We will do some local research.

Date: Tuesday 20 September 2022
Time: 19:30-21:00
Venue: Wessex Cancer Trust, 91-95 Winchester Rd, Chandler’s Ford, Eastleigh SO53 2GG (just above Domino’s Pizza)
