6th June 2023 at Winchester with Lavinia Winch – Ladies Intimate Health

We will be joined by Lavinia Winch who is an Ambassador for the YES YES company.

Lavinia has been to our group many times before and is very knowledgeable and supportive to us all. She has helped many of our members to improve their quality of life post cancer treatment and/or menopause.

You may have gone through a natural menopause, or Chemotherapy may have put you into early menopause, and/or you may also be taking hormone blocker tablets such as Tamoxifen, Letrozole or Anastrazole – all of these scenarios will be depleting the oestrogen levels in our bodies and this can lead to vaginal dryness and sometimes, recurring urinary tract infections (UTIs).

This evening isn’t just about intimacy with our partner, it’s about understanding our bodies and helping us to overcome what can sometimes become, a very painful condition. You may not be suffering at the moment, but you will gain knowledge, awareness and above all, the confidence to approach your GP if you need to do so in the future – you don’t need to suffer in silence.

If you have any questions for Lavinia which you may not wish to ask on the night, please email us before Tuesday and we can ask anonymously on Tuesday evening, or simply bring your questions along on the night.

11th April (not 4th April) in Winchester – Chill and Chat

We had changed our April Meeting in Winchester from 4th to 11th April due to the venue being unavailable on 4th and we welcomed 10 people along on a wet and windy evening.

We welcomed 2 new members this evening who told us about their cancer journey so far and it never ceases to amaze us how everybody’s story is different, and unique to them. We are always learning about new techniques, procedures and the challenges faced, through listening to them. It continues to give us hope that treatments are being improved year by year and the horrible side effects from any cancer treatment are constantly being learned from.

Date: Tuesday 11th April 2023
Time: 19:30-21:00
Venue: Simeon Room, Christ Church, Winchester, SO23 9SR

We hope to see you at our next meeting.
